CISA: China’s average daily crude steel output decreases in early July

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in early July (July 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of its member enterprises in China totaled 1.6948 million mt, down 3.84 percent or 67,600 mt compared to late June (June 21-30). In early July, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.083 million mt, indicating a decrease of 4.5 percent or 98,200 mt compared with late June.

According to the previous figures from the CISA, in late June this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of its member enterprises in China totaled 1.7624 million mt, up 0.97 percent or 17,000 mt compared to mid-June (June 11-20). In late June, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.1812 million mt, indicating an increase of 0.78 percent or 17,000 mt compared with mid-June.

As of July 10, total finished steel inventory of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China reached 12.7524 million mt, increasing by 0.58 percent compared to June 30.
